"Börje Salming"

In honor of the world-famous hockey player Börje Salming, we have chosen to make this cap when he played for Toronto Maple leafs.

Börje Salming was a legend in the hockey industry all over the world where he played for the teams Kiruna AIF, Brynäs If, Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit red Wings and ended his career in AIK in 1993. Börje Salming was active with his hockey career from 1967 to 1993 when he ended his career in hockey. Börje Salming was born on April 17, 1951 and took his last breaths on November 24, 2022.

Börje Salming is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey defenseman who is widely considered to be one of the best defensemen in NHL history. He played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings, during his career and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1996. Salming was known for his offensive and defensive skills, as well as his physical play and durability. He was also one of the first European players to have a successful career in the NHL, paving the way for future generations of European players. Salming played 17 seasons in the NHL and was a seven-time All-Star.
