Alexander Ovechkin "Limited"

Alexander Ovechkin, commonly known as "Ovi," is a professional ice hockey player from Russia, renowned for his prolific goal-scoring ability and dynamic playing style. Born on September 17, 1985, in Moscow, Ovechkin is widely regarded as one of the greatest goal-scorers in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL). He currently serves as the captain of the Washington Capitals, the team with which he has spent his entire NHL career.

Ovechkin's path to hockey stardom was significantly influenced by his family. His mother, Tatyana Ovechkina, was a two-time Olympic gold medalist in basketball, and his father, Mikhail, was a professional soccer player. This athletic pedigree provided a supportive environment for Ovechkin's early interest in hockey. He started playing at a young age and quickly emerged as a standout talent in Russian youth leagues. 

Ovechkin was selected first overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut in the 2005-2006 season and had an immediate impact, scoring 52 goals and 54 assists, earning him the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year. His powerful shot, physical style of play, and electrifying presence on the ice quickly made him a fan favorite.

Throughout his career, Ovechkin has been known for his remarkable consistency and durability. He has led the league in goals multiple times, winning the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the NHL's top goal-scorer on several occasions.
